The Police on Wednesday arrested and charged a Radio Range man for two of the country’s most recent homicides.
Maximilian Roberts 23yrs old of Radio Range was arrested and charged for the fatal shootings of 29yrs old Edwin James of Yorks and 75yrs old Zephaniah “Zephy” Joseph of Cedar Valley. Both men were shot and wounded on the afternoon of July 20th, while they were sitting under a shed at Zephy’s Tyre Shop on All Saints Road, when a lone gunman allegedly appeared on the scene and opened fire on them.
Williams died shortly after arriving at the Mount St. Johns Medical Center; while Joseph days after, having under gone surgery. He is due to appear before the court (today) Thursday.
Meanwhile, the police on Thursday conducted an early morning raid at a home in Grays Farm, where a large quantity of the Controlled Drugs Cannabis was seized, and two persons in custody.
Members of the Joint Task Force and Officers from the Grays Farm Police Station Thursday morning conducted a joint operation at a home on Dubery Street Grays Farm, and a total of 162 Cannabis Plants was discovered growing in several pots in the back yard. The plants were uprooted and taken to Police Headquarters along with 4 pounds of the cured substance that was also discovered on the premises. Two people, a 52yrs old woman and her 29yrs old fiancé are presently in police custody assisting them in their investigations. They are both facing charges of Cultivation of Cannabis; Possession of Cannabis and Possession with intent to Transfer. The incident took place around 6:30am.
